Louis has over 35 years of experience in equities, hedge funds, prime brokerage and private banking. He has a long-established track record of managing institutional and hedge fund relationships, pioneering new business initiatives, and driving strategic growth at leading financial institutions.

After an early stint with Anglo American De Beers in Johannesburg, Louis spent six years with H. Clarkson, Shipbrokers, where he worked mostly in the emerging world of gas shipping, leading sale and purchase negotiations, and arranging long-term contracts between owners and the trading firms that chartered them.

His financial services career began at Morgan Grenfell & Co., ahead of their purchase by Deutsche Bank. This led to a fifteen-year career at Goldman Sachs & Co., then in the early stages of putting a European equities sales and trading operation together to complement their powerful capital markets business. Louis became a Managing Director in 1996, the first year the title was created. During this time, many of the established hedge funds of today were created, and Louis took the lead in building out a powerful Goldman Sachs franchise.

Louis next took time out to work briefly with a hedge fund, before joining JPMorgan, where his eighteen-year career spanned equity and prime brokerage sales, before settling in the Private Bank. There Louis was responsible for founding and growing the relationships with some of the firm’s most significant family offices and charitable foundations.

Louis has long experience as an angel and hedge fund investor and is a board observer at several privately owned companies. He is also a trustee of the renowned Kynren pageant, where 2000 years of English history are acted out by volunteers as part of a ground-breaking social transformation project at Bishop Auckland, in the north-east of England. He is also a director of the Centre for Social Justice Foundation.

Herman Laret is the founder of Laret Capital Partners LLC and most recently spent nine years at Titan Advisors, where he was a Partner and Head of Titan’s Global Macro, Commodity Trading & Multi-Strategy team. He also served on the firm’s Investment Committee and was head of analytics. Before joining Titan Advisors, he was a managing director at Credit Suisse in global macro product sales. He held positions that included co-head of interest rate sales and treasury product manager.

During his 14 years with Credit Suisse, he was on the firm’s Proprietary Fund Investment Committee, responsible for investing the firm’s capital in hedge funds. Before joining Credit Suisse, Herman was a partner and senior portfolio manager at MKP Capital Management in New York, trading a G10 relative value rates products strategy. He began his career at Salomon Brothers International in London, working in M&A with Jeremy and Stephen, before transitioning to government bond trading in New York. Herman holds a degree in medicine from Leiden University in the Netherlands.

Richard Atkinson has 25+ years’ experience in international investment banking (Former Managing Director, Morgan Stanley Inc) managing the distribution of Government Privatisations, Corporate IPOs, Secondary placements, and Private Equity issuance in New York, London, and Tokyo.

Richard has C-Suite experience in the Biotechnology sector and is an investor in Seed and Private Equity in the healthcare and technology space. Richard holds a BA (Hons) from the University of Leeds, England. Richard is an award-winning filmmaker and enjoys Marathon and Ultra Marathon running and resides in Southern Florida.

Based in Hong Kong, Vincent founded Chepstow Capital in 2008 to advise on and provide access to private investments in Asia and to help Asian investors and companies to invest in Europe. Chepstow Capital and affiliated companies have established and managed closed-end funds for investment in Asia with a particular focus on China, and including on-shore RMB and off-shore USD structures. In addition, Chepstow Capital has assisted families as they develop investment programmes and make investments in Asia and Europe.

Vincent graduated from Oriel College, Oxford University with a BA Hons in Jurisprudence in 1987, and joined the venture capital subsidiary of Lloyds Merchant Bank (now known as LDC) where he was trained and was part of a team making venture capital and private equity investments in the UK until 1993.

In 1995, after 2 years with Sydney based AusAsean Management, he joined and spent 12 years with HSBC’s Asian private equity business based in Hong Kong, where his responsibilities and titles included management of HSBC’s Asian portfolio; Head of Fund Raising; Finance Director; Member of the Investment Committee; management oversight of HSBC’s separate Indian private equity business; representing HSBC on the boards of three listed investment funds; formation and management of HSBC’s Asian venture capital business; and CEO and CIO of HSBC’s Global Proprietary Investment Fund business.

Having spent time in large banks and his own boutique firm, investing as a principal and assisting clients in an advisory capacity, operating across numerous time zones over a 35-year period, Vincent is well placed and experienced to assist clients to achieve their investment objectives and in particular to help them navigate foreign jurisdictions and to provide local presence and support in Asia for non-Asian persons and entities wishing to transact or expand their operations in Asia.

Before founding Boda Capital Ltd, an FCA-regulated firm, Persa Vucevic began her 25-year career at Fimat and BNP Paribas Asset management working on the client side of the derivatives division.

Persa then joined the boutique firm Altera Partners where she successfully raised money for both a mortgage-backed security and energy sector hedge fund.

Since establishing Boda Capital, Persa has specialised in raising capital across Equity Long Only, Equity Long Short, FX, CTA, Event-driven, Shipping and other specialist funds.

Stephen Murphy has over 35 years of Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity experience across the US, Asia, Europe and Africa (Salomon Brothers Inc, E*Trade International, Citi and Citadel Capital). His career focus has largely been on equity “the meat in the sandwich”, raising over US$24 billion for clients in Europe and Africa.

Stephen ran the European private institutional fund raising group at Citi, working with many of the leading Private Equity Firms. He moved to work directly with a principal investing client, Citadel Capital, in 2008.

He is a seasoned fiduciary and has been directly involved in consumer-facing businesses, both as a principal investor, Board Member, or at Senior Executive level, starting with his appointment in 1998 to the Board of Brown Thomas Group (Department stores) in his native Ireland. He was the co-founder of the Watch Gallery and led the 2004 rescue of Savile Row tailoring house, H Huntsman & Sons.

He holds an MA from Trinity College, Dublin.

His outside interest includes board membership of two NYSE-listed companies and several private companies involved in luxury goods, including famed London bespoke shirt maker Budd.

Jeremy founded Merivel Ltd in 2018 after retiring from the partnership at Fulcrum Asset Management, where he helped grow the business to become a £5bn investment manager during his 12-year tenure. He graduated from the University of North Carolina as a Morehead Scholar in 1991 and started his career at Salomon Brothers, a London-based investment bank, focusing on Mergers and Acquisitions and Equity Capital Markets before becoming an equity specialist. It was at Salomon Brothers where Jeremy and Stephen Murphy first worked together in the investment bank.

In 1997, Jeremy joined the European Equities team at Morgan Stanley and from 2003 managed the UK, South African, and US equity teams at Investec before joining Fulcrum Asset Management in 2006. Having experience in both investment banking and investment management, Jeremy approaches investment projects not only from the perspective of why a company or fund may be interesting but also, after many years of working with family offices and institutional investors, from the investor’s angle. He considers where a potential investment may fit in a portfolio, its fundamental soundness, and the long-term investment opportunity.

Besides Merivel, Jeremy also sits on several boards and is a charity trustee and chairman.
